As indoor soccer season approaches, the St. Louis Ambush are set to take on FC Adrenaline (formerly Illinois Piasa) in an exhibition game on Saturday night, August 9, at Soccer Park in Fenton. Game time is 7:30 pm.
“We’re looking forward to this game,” said Ambush Head Coach Daryl Doran. “Soccer Park is a great venue with a lot of history, a good atmosphere and a place we’ve played in the past.”
Doran is also anxious to see how both teams look. “It will be nice to see our veteran players, our new players and some of the guys playing for the Adrenaline,” he said. “And it’s also a chance for our fans to see what’s in store for this season.”
With the Adrenaline, the Ambush have an official minor league affiliate – one that Doran knows he may need to tap into during the season. “This is great for us, being able to see the team and watch the players that are part of our system,” he said. “Some of these guys could be used as our season progresses.”
