Rams Trim Four from Active Roster, At League Mandated 75 Players

by

The Rams brain trust has moved four players off of the active roster in order to reach the NFL mandated 75-man roster limit, the team announced today.

The team waived (DE) Sammy Brown and (S) Matt Daniels, and placed (QB) Sam Bradford and (C) Demetrius Rhaney on Reserve/Injured list.  None of these are major developments.  The final cut to 53 men on Saturday will likely involve names of a higher profile.  The 22 spots up for grabs can still be spoken for during the last preseason game, likely featuring all of the players involved in the final decisions.

The Rams will wrap up their preseason schedule on Thursday against the Dolphins in Miami at 6:00 pm CST.  It is unclear, at this point, how much the expected starters will play, if at all.  Given the injury troubles in Week 3 of the Preseason, it would be understandable if the expected starters playing time is extremely limited, or eliminated.
