The St. Louis Surge women’s professional basketball franchise is in the process of assembling the pieces needed for the defense of its national title.
The Surge, the reigning champions of the Women’s Blue Chip Basketball League (WBCBL), has opened pre-registration online for a tryout to be held on Saturday, March 28 at Missouri Baptist University.
Surge personnel and independent evaluators will be present at the tryout, which runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Schedule details will be provided upon completion of registration.
A $75 non-refundable, pre-registration tryout fee is required when applying online.

St. Louis, 14-1 in 2014, won its first WBCBL title last August. The team recently released its 2015 schedule, which launches with a May 2 road trip to Nebraska.
