The SLAM (2-0) faces the Kansas City Titans Saturday at Shawnee Mission South in Overland Park, Kansas. Kickoff is at 7 pm.

The outcome of the Show-Me State battle will determine top placement in the Great Plains Division of the Women’s Football Alliance’s (WFA) American Conference – Midwest Region. Both squads are currently 1-0 in the division.

The SLAM maintained its perfect season this past Saturday with a 49-16 win over the Tulsa Threat. St. Louis utilized a pair of 21-0 runs to seal the victory.

St. Louis quarterback Jelani Kelly threw for four touchdowns and posted a pair of touchdown runs in the 33-point duke over Tulsa. Kelly has six TD passes through two games while receivers Kayla Neutzling, Vicki Nichols and Keyonna Smith each have two TD catches.

Anchored by a powerful SLAM offensive line, running back Taylor Hay has three scoring runs on the season.

Most impressively, St. Louis’ defense has come up with impressive late-game efforts as zero points have been surrendered in the final frame at both victories.

This multi-layered attack has to be on its proverbial best on Saturday against a squad that looks to grab an early advantage in the Great Plains Division.

After a season-opening 35-0 shutout win over Arkansas two weekends ago, Kansas City (1-1) suffered a 78-6 setback to newly-minted Dallas Elite last Saturday in non-divisional play. Quarterback Katie Sowers paces the offense for the Titans.
