With the days counting down to Friday’s Bellator MMA event in St. Louis, the mixed-martial arts organization has a pair of free, public events scheduled for Thursday.
“Bellator 138: Unfinished Business” is set for Friday at Scottrade Center. Nine preliminary fights begin at 5:45 p.m. and the five-fight main card starts at 8 p.m.
The main card features “The World’s Most Dangerous Man” Ken Shamrock versus Kimbo Slice, Bellator MMA Featherweight Champion Patricio Pitbull defending his title, former WWE champion Bobby Lashley in heavyweight action and a lightweight fight with former Mizzou standout, and All-American, Michael Chandler.
All of Friday’s competitors will be at Thursday’s official weigh-in at Scottrade Center. The free event begins at 5 p.m. and is open to the public.
Then at 7 p.m., Bellator MMA hosts a free Fan Fest at Dave & Buster’s in Maryland Heights (13857 Riverport Drive). Although none of Friday’s competitors will be in attendance, an impressive line-up of mixed-martial arts legends are scheduled to sign autographs and pose for pictures with fans.
Fedor Emelianenko, Royce Gracie and Tito Ortiz will be on hand at Dave & Buster’s, as well as Bellator MMA Light Heavyweight Champion Liam McGeary and MMA popular referee John McCarthy. The Bellator Girls are also appearing.
Friday’s preliminary fights will be streamed live at www.spike.com and the main card will be presented live on cable network SPIKE beginning at 8 p.m.
