Mother Nature wrecked havoc again, forcing the Grizzlies and Southern Illinois Miners to suspend tonight’s game. It will resume tomorrow as part of a doubleheader.
The teams will resume Game 1 in progress beginning at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday with Game 2 scheduled to start at 7:05 p.m.
Grizzlies’ right-hander Max Schonfeld faced only five batters in the game before a rain delay ensued. Schonfeld allowed a lead off home run to Aaron Gates to start the game, which gave Southern Illinois a 1-0 lead. The game was suspended with the Miners having runners on first and third with one out.
