The Cards dropped GM Jocketty for MO because Jocketty traded for veterans whereas MO sold the Cards on developing players through the farm system. Now what to we see – MO trading away young draft choices for veterans. Should have just kept Jocketty.

Jocketty traded away the entire farm, there were A players in AAA. The organization actually has depth now that they can trade from. Trading away a rookie level OF for veteran, former closer, arm is a low risk move. The guy they traded away is hitting .216 in Rookie level ball.

Now, who are we going to send down to make room for Broxton? I don’t mind thi deal, but, really folks, pitching isn’t our problem. Pitching is the only thing that has kept us where we are in the standings this year. Maybe we should address our offensive deficiencies. And no, I don’t think getting Moss was a solution for our inability to score. Hope he proves me wrong.
