Triple Threat Match

Ryback VS Big Show VS The Miz

This match was originally announced for BattleGround but Ryback got diagnosed with a staph infection causing this match to be pushed back until SummerSlam. I’ve stated in the past I am happy to see Ryback with the IC title because he is one of the more over mid carders. I have also been a fan of The Miz for some time now. His mic work is main event level entertaining and he  has proven he can keep up with guys like Randy Orton and John Cena. And Big Show, well he is here too, I assume to match power with power against the big guy. I can’t see this match going to either of the two strong guys here, Miz winning just makes since to me. The heat he will get for bragging about beating two monsters fits his character perfectly. I assume Big Show and Ryback take each other out and Miz weasels his way to the championship.

Winner: The Miz

Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper VS

Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns

It may make you sad to learn that the original plan for this match was a 3VS3 with the whole Wyatt family taking on Dean, Roman and Sting. But because Eric Rowen got hurt the match was switched to a tag team match. All four of these guys are tremendously talented (Yup, I’ve come around on Roman) and their tag match at Elimination Chamber in 2014 is still regarded as one of the best of that year. Harper reuniting with Bray is a smart play for both men, they work better as a group than individuals. Dean and Roman, confusing pairing them up when they did just fine as single commentators. Instead of the Wyatt/Roman feud going into bigger matches like no DQ, or something they add former brethren to the feud to make it more interesting. I am looking forward to this match because it could go either way. Seems there are some theories about Dean turning on Roman but I can’t see it happening, maybe I am enjoying rooting for Dean a bit too much and am in denial but Dean will stay loyal to Roman and pick up the win.

Winners: Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns

WWE Tag Team Championship

Fatal Four Way

Prime Time Players VS Los Matadores Vs

The Lucha Dragons VS The New Day

I suppose someone thought we were seeing a bit too much of PTP Vs New Day so they added two more teams. I’ve said this before but I can’t imagine either of the masked team being champions. If I had to choose one it would be Los Matadores because of the loyalty to the company but it really comes down to New Day and PTP. These types of matches of been a bit too telegraphed as of late. More times than not, the champions retain, and I can’t see that changing for this match either.

Winner: Prime Time Players

Stephen Amell & Neville VS Stardust & King Barrett

A match purely to get some more mainstream eyes on WWE and it worked like a charm. I can’t imagine Amell doing much more than some punches, hip tosses and maybe a spear. There is not a lot of detail that needs to go into previewing this match, it’s a bunch of random superstars thrown together to get the celebrity over.

Winners: Stephen Amell & Neville

Kevin Owens VS Cesaro

Not hard to call this one a show stealer. Both are internet darlings and rightfully so. Owens has proven time and time again that he knows how to perform in big matches and Cesaro is finally getting into the upper midcard after floating around for a couple years. His talent alone has made it easy for people to get behind him. Expect a split crowd for this one although I think Cesaro might be getting some more cheers as he needs the reaction to show the decision makers that this is the guy we want on top. This will be the most technically fought match on the card and hopefully they keep it far away from the main event matches. The crowd will be drained after this one. Hard to predict a winner here, both men need a win but if the feud continues, Owens has to come out on top.

Winner: Kevin Owens

Team Bella VS Team B.A.D. VS PCB

Elimination Match

A match that was telegraphed since the debut of the NXT women, the elimination is team based so only one member has to be pinned to take out the whole team. I imagine there is going to be a lot of quick action really fast because there are so many women in this match. Lots of quick tags before an all out brawl leads to the first pin fall. To create more contenders for the Divas title, Team Bella won’t win this match and I predict will actually be eliminated first. PCB has gotten their fair share of wins as of late so I see them losing allowing B.A.D to pick up a much needed win

Winners: Team B.A.D

Rusev VS Dolph Ziggler

When Lana first teamed with Dolph, my brother asked me “Why? What’s the point?” Simply put, because it creates a natural feud that requires lazy writing to get these guys to fight. Well here we are, after a couple of injuries (some scripted, some not) we finally get the payoff to Lana turning on Rusev. Rusev has always impressed me with his ability as a monster, although it was a bit frustrating knowing the outcome of his matches when he had the undefeated streak going. Like anyone really believed Jack Swagger or Mark Henry were going to be the ones to give him his first pin fall? One of the reasons I am looking forward to this match is because of how unpredictable it is. Now that Rusev isn’t fighting Cena, his wins could go either way. Although I believe he has to get back to monster form. Dolph will give him a good match but ultimately I’d imagine being forced to tap.

Winner: Rusev

Randy Orton VS Sheamus

Another one of those matches that is thrown together just because. Sheamus interfered in Orton’s championship match because…bad guy? I can’t imagine this is a match anyone is really excited about. Sheamus has a nice character change after coming back from injury and still somehow feels bland. I’ve used this comparison before but it seems to fit at least one match a PPV, this time next year when you look back at this card, you aren’t going to even remember that they fought each other, let alone why. Orton wins because for some reason he wins PPV matches

Winner: Randy Orton

Seth Rollins VS John Cena

Title VS Title Winner takes all

United States Champion John Cena put his title on the line against WWE World Heavyweight champion Seth Rollins who also is throwing his title on the line. There has not been a lot of this matches as of late because of how few titles there are anymore, only three single titles for the superstars compared to the five or six they had ten years ago. These two have had some pretty good matches ever since they feuded around the same time last year. And you can’t ignore the triple threat match they were apart of at the Royal Rumble this year. I expect this match to have a lot of crowd energy behind it rooting against Cena in the many near falls I expect to see this match. As far as the winner goes, I can’t imagine one guy holding two titles at the same time. There will be a DQ finish or even worse, Sheamus has a successful cash in. Either way, I am going with a bold prediction here, neither men wins this match.

Winner:N/A…Sheamus?

Brock Lesnar VS Undertaker

This is Undertakers first non WrestleMania match since 2010 when he lost to Kane at Bragging Rights. Another one that is extremely difficult to call. Does Lesnar prove his dominance by beating Undertaker  again? Does ‘Taker get his redemption half a year later after suffering the most shocking loss in wrestling history?  The irony about this match is how well it is put together and how many people are looking forward to it. Many fans would say their match at WrestleMania 30 is one of the worst matches from both men and kind of boring. Maybe it is the energy Undertaker seems to have that makes me thing this match is going to be great. I am hoping for more a brawl than a technical match like Owens/Cesaro. The sad thing I see happening is Undertaker winning setting up a rubber match at WrestleMania 32, which scares me I hate seeing Lesnar face the same guys multiple times, especially when he wrestles a guy like Undertaker who has a storied history with Lesnar in his first run . Even as I try my hardest to write undertaker wins, I can’t do it. Maybe because he only has one win in the last two years and Lesnar is just a train that seem to be losing no momentum, I have to hand it to the hotter guy.

Winner: Brock Lesnar
