Los Angeles, CA- Fresh off their home opener victory, the LA Galaxy II look to keep their early win streak in tact versus the visiting newcomers to the Western Conference, Saint Louis FC, who suffered a heartbreaking loss with the addition of a goal in stoppage time against the second year club, Real Monarchs out of Salt Lake City, UT.

Saint Louis has added some new faces this year to the roster. Current Captain, Chad Bond (former Tulsa Roughneck), AJ Cochran (former Houston Dynamo), Irvin Herrera (El Salvador National Team), and Schillo Tshuma (former Portland Timber). FC also welcomes back fan favorite Patrick Doody, who has been loaned out from the Chicago Fire for the second summer, as well as his teammate Drew Conner.

The Galaxy II defeated Arizona United SC on Saturday evening by a final score of 2-0. Both goals from Los’ Dos came from Ariel Lassiter, one from a penalty kick and a head ball. STLFC has yet to score this year, despite them only playing one match.

The scoring woes continue for the hometown club, as last year seemed to be plagued by one or two goal games and over nine draws. The front office clearly took notice and brought in some help with Herrera, striker, and Tshuma a more center attack midfielder.

This will be the longest road trip of the season for Saint Louis. They will play four games inside a two week stretch, when facing LA II on Wednesday, Orange County Blues on Saturday, and then taking on OKC the following week. A true test of skill and heart early on in the season.

Despite the loss in Salt Lake City Saturday night, FC looks to unleash fury on the city that has dubbed itself as better than our own. To some, this game is more than just a soccer match. It will have correlation with the backlash of the misery associated with the former NFL team, now in LA, the Los Angeles Rams.
