Sauget, Ill. – The Gateway Grizzlies drafted and signed four players at the Frontier League tryout camp on Tuesday. The group included second baseman Kyle Forsythe, a recent graduate from Lindenwood-Belleville University.

Prior to the selection of Forsythe as the 25th overall pick, Gateway manager Phil Warren selected LHP Corey Kimes (6th), LHP Jack Duffey (7th), and RHP Nate Carter (17th).

Kimes, who played collegiately at the University of Illinois, most recently played with the Melbourne Aces in the Australian Baseball League. Duffey spent three seasons with the Detroit Tigers organization from 2010 until 2012. Carter also spent time in the Tigers system in 2014.

Forsythe, a native of Pleasant Plains, Ill., completed his college baseball career in 2014 with the Lynx.
