The St. Charles County-based rollers, currently ranked #56 internationally by the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), compete at the K-Town Shakedown in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

In the three-day event that begins Friday, St. Chux (1-2) have games against #59 Brewcity, #63 Grand Raggidy and #81 Killamazoo lined-up during the weekend.

The outcomes against lower-ranked opponents are important to SCDC, who aim to keep traction in the WFTDA’s Division 2 rankings.

Jammer Jedi Knight-N-Gale sets the tone offensively with a scoring average of triple digits per game while Pixie Dust-Ruction, Darth Maully and Sha’Killa will also take important rotations with the star on their respective helmets.

Blockers Blue Collar Brawler, 50 Shades of Pink, Zombie F-Bomb, Conner, Big Red and others are ready to lay down the foundation to make scoring happen.

St. Chux ‘s Friday opponent, event hostesses Killamazoo, recorded five straight wins against comparably-ranked squads to start the season and currently sports a 6-2 record.

Saturday’s foe, Milwaukee-based Brewcity (0-2), has suffered double-digit setbacks to #62 Windy City (275-32) and #39 Madison (234-91).

Sunday’s meeting against Michigan-based Grand Raggidy (3-1), and its ensuing result, will be a tell-tale sign of SCDC’s future within the governing body’s hierarchy. If the rollers claim the duke, then it should be able to maintain rankings’ traction in WFTDA Division 2.

Three highly-competitive games are on the docket this weekend for SCDC and a Shakedown sweep would be ideal.
