OMAHA, Nebraska – The Memphis Redbirds (39-43) combined to get 13 hits in two games against the Omaha Storm Chasers (34-47) on Sunday night but were unable to win both games.

Jose Martinez led the Redbirds offense in both games of the doubleheader against his former team, going 3-for-6 at the dish and hitting a two-run homer in game two.

Randal Grichuk hit his fifth home run as a Redbird this season in game one of the doubleheader.  This extended his hitting streak to six games but the streak was ended after he went hitless in game two of the doubleheader. Grichuk now has five home runs and 15 RBI in 14 games with Memphis this season.

Charlie Tilson, Matt Williams and Alberto Rosario each had multi-hit games.  Tilson played in both games of the doubleheader and combined to go 3-for-6 at the plate. For the year, he is hitting .318 in the leadoff spot in the lineup (69-217).

The starter for game one, Jerome Williams, threw a complete seven-inning game but gave up a season-high of 12 hits and eight runs in his second loss of the season.

In game two, Kurt Heyer gave up one run and four hits in 4.0 innings of work in his second start of the season.  Ryan Sherriff picked up his third win and Miguel Socolovich record his third save of the year.  Through three innings combined, they gave up just one hit and fanned two.

Memphis starts a seven-game homestand on Monday, July 4, with a special holiday edition of postgame fireworks, presented by AutoZone.  The game on the 4th of July also has three different food and ticket packages available.
