DES MOINES, Iowa – The division-champion Memphis Redbirds got back on the winning track with a 4-2 win over the Iowa Cubs (Cubs) Saturday night in Des Moines.

Jack Flaherty picked up his fifth win in his last six starts with 5.0 innings of work, allowing two runs on seven hits. He has now given up two earned runs or fewer in nine of his last 10 starts and is 7-2 on the year. Mike MayersMark Montgomery, and Josh Lucas were outstanding in the final 4.0 innings, giving up just one hit and one walk.
