Tom Clancy….he’s a man that has opened our eyes to a plethora of fiction novels like Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six and the Jack Ryan series. In the film franchise, the role of Jack Ryan has been portrayed by Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck and Chris Pine. Each actor has brought with him a different aspect and dimension to the character; so each time it felt new and somewhat fresh even though the character was plagued with a hollow, dry tone.
Well, enter John Krasinski, the man you know all too well from The Office as Jim and recently, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi. He will soon be portraying the iconic and titular role of Jack Ryan, even though we feel that Chris Pine did an excellent portrayal.
While most of us think that Krasinski isn’t cut out for the role, you should really see 13 Hours. Krasinski gained so much muscle in order to portray his character; and while watching him, I couldn’t believe I was watching the man that joked around so much in The Office; it was quite breath taking in all honesty.
While not much has been released so far about this new iteration of Jack Ryan, we are whole heartedly confident in Krasinski portraying the character to it’s fullest potential.
Jack Ryan will premiere in 2018.
