Cardinals Sign Reliever Luke Gregerson

by Mick Lite

The St. Louis Cardinals have made their second signing of the offseason by agreeing to a 2-year $11 million deal with a 2020 option ($5 million club or $6 million vesting at 60 games in 2019 or 130 games in 2018-2019 – or a $1 million buyout) with reliever Luke Gregerson.

Gregerson was originally drafted by the Cardinals in the 28th round of the 2006 MLB Draft but was traded to the San Diego Padres before the 2009 season along with Mark Worrell for infielder Khalil Greene.
