Edmonds, Ankiel, Whiten, and Lankford to participate in 2018 Frontier League HR Derby

The River City Rascals have announced that former Cardinal sluggers Jim Edmonds, Rick Ankiel, Mark Whiten, and Ray Lankford will be participating in the 2018 Frontier League Home Run Derby. The 2018 Frontier League Home Run Derby will feature the top home run hitters from around the league against these former major leaguers at CarShield Field on Tuesday, July 10 at 8:00 PM.

Tickets for the 2018 Frontier League Home Run Derby will be available for as low as $15, but fans can upgrade their Home Run Derby ticket to a $50 autograph pass ticket that includes access to a two-hour pre-game autograph experience with Edmonds, Ankiel, Whiten, and Lankford. A limited amount of autograph pass tickets are available and will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.  Tickets will go on sale to the public on Wednesday, December 13 at 9:00 AM CST.  Fans can reserve their tickets by calling the Rascals’ Box Office at (636) 240-2287 or order online at www.rivercityrascals.com.

The Derby will begin at 8:00 PM with gates opening to the general public at 7:00 PM. Fans that purchased a pre-game autograph experience ticket will receive early entry to the ballpark with gates opening at 4:30 PM. Players will be available to sign autographs on the field beginning at 5:00 PM and concluding at 7:00 PM. Fans are not guaranteed to receive autographs from all players but will be able to visit and receive autographs from as many players as possible in the allotted time frame.  Fans are welcome to bring their own items to be autographed but will be limited to one autograph per person, per player – no photos or inscriptions.

The 2018 Frontier League Home Run Derby and All-Star Game features the best players from the league expanding over seven states. Fans, players, and front office executives from each of the twelve teams will travel to O’Fallon, Missouri for the two-day event and all the corresponding activities. The Frontier League started in 1993 and has produced a tremendous number of players who have made their way to The Show.
