Remembering Wally Moon

On Saturday, February 10th, 2018, Wally Moon passed away at the age of 87. Moon was born April 3rd, 1930 in Bay, Arkansas. He played 12 seasons in Major League Baseball, spending 5 years in St. Louis and 7 in Los Angeles for the Dodgers.

In 5 seasons for the Cardinals, Moon was voted Rookie of the Year in 1954 over names like Ernie Banks, Gene Conley, and Hank Aaron. He made the All-Star team in 1957 and he owns a .291/.366/.454 slash line as a member of the Cardinals.
