Saint Louis freshman designated player Sadie Wise has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference softball Player of the Week by College Sports Madness.
Wise led the Billikens with seven hits, a .412 batting average and seven runs at Bradley’s Petersen Hotels Invitational Feb. 8-11. She hit safely in four of five games, including a three-hit game vs. Miami (Ohio) and two hits vs. national power Washington.
Wise belted her first collegiate home run vs. Miami, a two-run shot, and doubled vs. Washington. She also drew two walks and struck out just twice in 19 plate appearances.
The Billikens take a break from competition this weekend before traveling to Ruston, Louisiana, to play five games in the Louisiana Tech Invitational.
