Hogan Picks Up Atlantic 10 Honors

by SLU Baseball

Saint Louis University starter Miller Hogan was named the Atlantic 10 Co-Pitcher of the week after leading the Billikens to a win on Friday.

Hogan has been a constant force for Saint Louis this season and he put together a game in what has become the norm on Friday. The junior from Overland Park, Kan., dominated in his start against UMass as he went seven strong innings and tied a career-high with 11 strikeouts on the afternoon while he only allowed three hits and one earned run.

The Billiken right-handed hurler has recorded 11 strikeouts twice in 2018 and did so on Friday seemingly effortlessly at times as he fanned eight batters in the first four innings of his 90-pitch outing.

Hogan split the award with George Washington’s Elliott Raimo. The sophomore right-handed pitcher nearly went the distance as he went eight and two-thirds innings and allowed no earned runs with 12 strikeouts.

The win for Hogan was his fifth of the season as he has combined with Jackson Wark and Drew Reveno to go 17-4 on the season.

Hogan and the Billikens will head to Dayton over the weekend to take-on the Flyers in their fourth A-10 series of the year after a midweek clash with Bradley on Wednesday at home.
