The Cardinals have announced that Greg Garcia has been activated from paternity leave today and RHP Preston Guilmet has been designated for assignment in the corresponding move.
Guilmet made his first big-league appearance since 2015, 34 months ago, but in two games gave up five earned runs on seven hits.
For Memphis, he only allowed three earned runs and nine hits in 29 innings.
